40 Courses for 40 Years - A Celebration of Dining with David Bennett at Prestwick Golf Club

Created to celebrate David Bennett’s 40 years as Steward and Chef at Prestwick Golf Club, 40 Courses for 40 Years brings together some of the club’s most loved dishes, enjoyed by members and visitors over four decades.

From David’s famous Surf and Moor to classic favourites like Beef Olives and Lobster Thermidor, this beautifully illustrated cookbook is filled with recipes, stories, and reflections on the history of dining at Prestwick Golf Club since its founding in 1851.

More than just a cookbook, this publication is also a tribute to David’s late wife Anne and the support their family received from Beatson Cancer Charity and the Ayrshire Hospice during her illness. Since its launch, the book has raised more than £13,000 for both charities.
